The House of Cod is a magical place hidden in the heart of Bristol. Its walls are adorned with intricate sculptures, models and props and its rooms hum with creativity.

The House of Cod is the private commission company of the renowned Cod Steaks team, dedicated to bringing the wonder of the natural world and somerset magic to life through art. A team of fifty artists and sculptors known for their spectacular work, having collaborated with big names like Wallace and Gromit and Harry Potter; but it was the demand of their own directors that led to the birth of House of Cod.  Sue Lipscombe and Mark Pyrah couldn't find unique and inspiring pieces of art for their own homes and gardens, so they decided to create their own.

One of their most notable projects was the Bristol Whales sculpture, installed in the city centre to celebrate Bristol's status as the European Green Capital. It was a testament to the team's dedication to bringing art and nature together. As you walk through the House of Cod, you can’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. Each piece is unique and enchanting, capturing the beauty and magic of the natural world in a way that only the Cod Steaks team can.
